I am a sole proprietorship, DBA “Tooling Design”, a veteran-owned, Ohio Registered Trade Name engaged in the contract design of tools,  tooling, automatic machinery and fabrication design. I have been “at this” for about thirty-something years so I consider myself to be an accomplished expert. Machinery and tooling experience ranges from steel mill equipment, automatic packaging machinery, military weapons systems, automatic assembly lines, aircraft tooling to medical equipment design. This is of course not inclusive. I am absolutely knowledgeable in all phases of manufacturing. (I am fluent in “all” engineering materials from alloy steels to polymers.)

I know what you require in terms of correctly-produced detail CAD drawings, and depending on the contract requirements, a complete engineering drawings package can be provided in Solidworks, including assemblies, details (with all material specs, tolerances, metallurgy and secondary process callouts on each sheet ) and a complete Bill of Materials produced in Excel, with separate manufactured components and purchased components listed, with respective vendor contact data shown within the worksheet.

Aside from the conceptual work normally encountered within a project, the principal thrust of my work is aimed toward successful manufacturing. I can say that I am intimately familiar with all machine shop and other  manufacturing processes, including heavy fabrication, and sheet metal. I also have a great deal of experience in plastics processes such as rotational, injection and vacuum-forming and MIM processes as well.

I work in Solidworks_ 1997 – 2021 with complete FEA Simulation modules.
